GVRA Eligible Training Provider

As an approved GVRA training provider in the Metro Atlanta Region—we offer students unparalleled access to funding opportunities and support services.

Expanded Accessibility

By partnering with GVRA, we extend our reach and impact to a broader demographic of students across diverse geographic areas. This allows us to serve a wider range of individuals who may qualify for GVRA funding, making quality education and career training more accessible to those in need.

If approved, take your class for free!

Eligible students have the opportunity to have their entire program covered for free through GVRA funding. This means that qualified individuals can pursue their educational and career goals without the burden of tuition costs, making quality training accessible to all who qualify.

What is GVRA?

The Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA) helps individuals with disabilities prepare for, find, and maintain employment. Through GVRA’s Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program, eligible individuals can receive financial assistance for job training programs—like the ones offered at Winder CNA Training—that help them enter or return to the workforce.

GVRA services are available to Georgia residents who:

•Have a documented physical or mental disability that creates a barrier to employment, and

•Can benefit from vocational rehabilitation services to prepare for, obtain, or retain a job.

Eligibility is determined by GVRA, and documentation may include IEPs, 504 Plans, medical records, or psychological evaluations.

If approved, GVRA funding may cover:

•Tuition for approved programs

•Required uniforms and training materials

•Certification exam fees

•Transportation assistance in some cases

•Support services needed to complete your program

Each student’s funding package is based on their individual plan created with their assigned VR counselor.

To begin the process:

1.Apply online at gvs.georgia.gov or call your local GVRA office to set up an intake appointment.

2.Attend an eligibility meeting with a VR counselor, bringing any necessary documentation.

3.Once approved, work with your counselor to choose a training provider—like Winder CNA Training—and develop your Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE).

4.Your counselor will then contact our admissions team to get you enrolled and funded.

If you need help navigating the process or finding your local GVRA office, our team is happy to help—just call or text us at 770-203-0858.
