There are no prerequisites for the Home Health Aide Training Program

The state of Georgia does not license Home Health Aides (HHAs). However, Winder CNA Training is an authorized training provider of NCCT (National Center for Competency Testing) and NAHP (National Association for Health Professionals). Students who complete the Home Health Aide Training Program may choose to take a certification exam through these organizations to enhance their credentials and career prospects.

•Certification Details:

•The certification exam is optional and not required for employment as an HHA in Georgia.

•Certification exams are administered through NCCT or NAHP and can provide an additional level of professional recognition.

•Important Notes:

•The cost of the certification exam is not included in the program tuition.

•Students interested in pursuing certification will receive guidance on how to schedule and prepare for the exam upon course completion.

While certification is not mandatory, it can serve as a valuable asset for those looking to distinguish themselves in the job market and pursue advanced career opportunities in the healthcare field.

The Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program is a 3-week comprehensive course designed to prepare students to provide compassionate, effective care in home-based settings. Through online live lectures and in-person skills labs, students gain foundational knowledge in caregiving, client interaction, safety, and home management. The course equips participants with the skills to support individuals with disabilities, chronic illnesses, and aging-related needs, ensuring a safe and healthy home environment. This program is not a state-licensed certification but demonstrates competency in home health care, making it ideal for those pursuing careers in caregiving.

The Home Health Aide Training Program curriculum is based off the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services HHA Standards.

•Duration: 3 weeks (full-time) or 6 weeks (part-time)

•Total Hours: 75 hours (45 hours online lecture + 30 hours in-person lab)

•Tuition: $439.00
