As an approved WIOA training provider in not just one, but three prominent regional commissions—Northeast Georgia, Atlanta, and East Central Georgia—we offer students unparalleled access to funding opportunities and support services.

Expanded Accessibility

By partnering with multiple regional commissions, we extend our reach and impact to a broader demographic of students across diverse geographic areas. This allows us to serve a wider range of individuals who may qualify for WIOA funding, making quality education and career training more accessible to those in need.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal program aimed at improving workforce development systems and enhancing employment opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment. Administered at the state level, WIOA provides funding for a variety of workforce training programs and support services designed to help individuals gain the skills and credentials needed to succeed in today’s job market.

WIOA eligibility criteria vary by state and program, but generally, individuals who are unemployed or underemployed, low-income, veterans, youth, individuals with disabilities, and those facing other significant barriers to employment may qualify for WIOA services. Eligibility is often determined based on factors such as income, employment status, educational attainment, and residency status.

WIOA funding can cover a wide range of workforce development services, including tuition and fees for approved training programs, such as vocational training, certificate programs, and apprenticeships. Additionally, WIOA may cover expenses related to supportive services like transportation, childcare, and textbooks to help participants overcome barriers to participation and completion.

At Winder CNA Training, all of our programs are covered 100% with WIOA Funding for approved individuals.

Getting started with the WIOA eligibility process is simple. Interested individuals can typically begin by contacting their local workforce development agency to inquire about WIOA services and eligibility requirements. From there, participants may be required to complete an application, undergo an assessment of their skills and needs, and work with a career counselor to develop an individualized career plan. Once eligibility is determined, participants can access a variety of WIOA-funded services and programs to support their career goals.
