About Us

Winder CNA Training is a Georgia-based healthcare training school with our Oconee Campus in Watkinsville. We train Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and also offer Medication Aide, Clinical Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EKG, Home Health Aide and American Heart Association CPR/BLS courses. We're adding an evening CNA class for students who work during the day.

The Role

We're looking for an LPN or RN to teach our evening CNA program. Students do their classroom work online on their own time, then come to campus for 9 evenings of skills lab (weekdays, 5pm–9pm) and finish with 3 weekday clinical days (8am–4:30pm) at a partner healthcare facility. Each class runs about 3 to 4 weeks. You'll teach the skills, supervise the group at clinicals and get students ready to pass the Georgia CNA exam.

This is a great fit for a nurse with long-term care experience who enjoys teaching and wants steady part-time evening hours after a day shift.

What You'll Do

• Teach the CNA skills lab on our Watkinsville campus (9 evenings per class, 5pm–9pm) using our curriculum and instructor's guide
• Supervise students as a group during their clinical rotation at a partner healthcare facility (3 weekdays per class, 8am–4:30pm)
• Check off each student's skills and document progress through testing, observation and skills evaluations
• Prepare students for the Georgia CNA state exam (written and skills)
• Keep accurate attendance and hours records for every student, as the State requires
• Communicate clearly with students, clinical facility staff and our office team
• Keep the skills lab clean, stocked and in working order
• Record your hours by the required deadlines

What We're Looking For

• Active Georgia LPN or RN license with no current disciplinary action (required)
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in long-term care (required)
• Completion of Georgia's Nurse Aide Train the Trainer course before teaching (all offers are contingent on it)
• Available weekday evenings (5pm–9pm), plus 3 weekdays (8am–4:30pm) at the end of each class for clinicals
• Comfortable teaching adults from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels
• Patient, organized and dependable, with strong communication skills
• Able to do physical work with students and patients in a clinical setting and lift at least 20 lbs
• Must pass a background check

What We Offer

• Consistent evening schedule (5pm–9pm), with clinical days planned well ahead
• W-2 employee position
• Retirement plan for eligible employees
• PTO plan for part-time employees
• Curriculum, instructor's guide and skills lab equipment provided
• Be part of a growing healthcare training school with a strong reputation in the Southeast
