Prepare to play a vital role in the operating room with our GaCST™ Surgical Technologist Program. This comprehensive hybrid program trains students in sterile technique, instrumentation, surgical procedures, and patient safety. Students gain both academic knowledge and hands-on skills aligned with the NCCT Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) certification, setting them up for success in a fast-paced surgical environment.
The program is 18 weeks long and delivered in a hybrid format. Students complete 8 hours of weekly online lecture through our interactive learning platform and 10 hours of weekly in-person skills lab at our Watkinsville campus. The final two weeks are dedicated to a 60-hour clinical externship at a local healthcare facility.
Tuition for the Surgical Technologist Training Program is $2,699 and includes access to online coursework, lab instruction, textbooks, scrubs, and lab supplies. Flexible payment plans are available, and we also accept WIOA funding and employer sponsorships for eligible students.
Graduates of the GaCST™ program can pursue roles such as Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician, Sterile Processing Technician, and OR Support Staff. These roles are essential to surgical teams in hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, and specialty practices.
